Character Information:


Name: Yu Kanda. Note that he is technically made in China, however has spent all of his life within a Catholic organization where everyone speaks English and the culture is more or less Western, hence the appropriate name order should be western, as well. His original name is unknown; his subject name is Yu and Kanda is a surname which was made up for him by Tiedoll.
Canon: manga + novels, since they give manga backgrounds.
Canon point: chapter 200, or a little after it. Mentally, that is; physically he's from like 196, thanks for the update system of the game he comes from (look below for details).
Age: 21. That's his biological age (counting both canon and time in Kanna). But then there are two things; 1) he's been more or less an adult and got killed 30 years ago, and was dead for 10 years before being used in the experiments (how any of his brain remained intact baffles me), and 2) since his memories got wiped almost completely, his actual experience of living in the world contains of only 10 years. So in a way, he is 10, 20 and 20-something all at once.

[OOC] Sanctum Permissions

General
Backtagging: yes. Forever and ever. In fact, make sure to let me know if you don't want the thread to continue for half a year.
Threadhopping: yes, if it makes sense ICly, however please ask me OOCly about it first.
Injuring my character: yes, although keep in mind that he is on a nearly Mary Sue level of Awesome, so it won't be exactly easy. Once again, go for it if it makes sense ICly - meaning, your character is at the very least a somewhat capable fighter, a Lenalee, a door, or has the element of surprise. If you're unsure, feel free to ask me!
Killing my character: you will have to talk to me about it. While it is a curious aspect to any games, and doesn't mean much to Kanda at all (unless we're talking about perma-kill, and if you're not a world-breaking mage of some sort, it's not very possible...), I also currently have no plans to do it in this particular setting. Things may change, however~
Using telepathy on my character: yes to mind-reading, no to mind-control. That willpower is just too much for it. However, Kanda isn't exactly a philosophical dweller, so chances are nothing interesting will be found in his head other than soba soba flowers soba. :|a

Romance/Sexual
Things you'd like to explore: probably sexual identity and, to an extent, coming out to oneself. Before that, however - subconscious aversion to the idea of such things being discussed freely, sexuality refusal, the whole process of growing to accept an accepting environment. I won't say no to romantic nor sexual things either, if they play out eventually, however right now I am still sceptical~ And, of course, the crack side of all of this.
Things you do not want/are not comfortable with: SEX. I will say a strict no to anything that belongs down the drain, although frankly I am uncomfortable with much less things than my character is, so... If you'd like to suggest something, do so and I will try to anticipate if it won't break the poor thing's brain too much.
Anything in between that you feel needs mentioning: Kanda is Kanda, so... don't expect much, especially if your character is not from his cast. It takes months of in-game time to even get accepted by him, let alone be considered as something remotely resembling a friend. While he's slowly becoming more accepting of humanity, he is also really stubborn. It's impossible to tell which way things will go yet. He's both someone who doesn't care about sex at all and someone who could pull of a buddies with benefits thing; at the same time when he does love he does so completely but it happens once in a lifetime (sort of already did). So. Yeah.
Feelings on fade to black: I've done both fading to black and not fading to black, so either is fine with me. o/

Idfk
Lodgings: he and Lavi are staying at a tiny apartment which looks basically like this; warring over bed vs couch occasionally happens. So far.
Looks: he gets mistaken for a girl even as a grownup IN CANON. And that's while he's NOT wearing his androgynous gay cardigan. So... feel free to have your character address him as a lady, although punch will be in order in that case.
